The Henley and Grange RSL Club offers a happy hour every Friday from 5pm to 7pm, giving members and guests the opportunity to enjoy discounted drinks and socialise with friends. The happy hour is held in the club's bar area and features a selection of discounted beers, wines, and spirits. During the happy hour, the club also hosts raffles, offering the chance to win a variety of prizes, including meat trays and local donations. Participating in the raffles is a fun way to support the club and potentially win some great prizes.
Every Thursday, the club holds its members draw which is drawn at 6:15pm. You must be there to claim the winnings, and if it goes unclaimed, it jackpots by $50 each week.

Henley Beach Soldiers Memorial, Seaview Rd, Henley Beach. (corner of Seaview Road and North Street)
To commemorate the 110th anniversary since Gallipoli, Grange SLSC juniors will land by boat before joining the catafalque party, veterans, and Henley SLSC in marching up to the Soldiers' Memorial.
First-Aid provided by the Henley Surf Life Saving Club.
Breakfast donated by Henley Square Foodland and Crestcut Butchers. Cooked by RSL volunteers and Henley Rotary Club, and served by Bendigo Community Bank West Beach. Rum and coffee station sponsored by local hotels.

There will be two large marquees setup in the RSL carpark all day.
Local children’s ANZAC Day artwork will be on display in the community centre.
Times:
6:00am Grange SLSC juniors land on the beach.
6:30am Service commences - Veterans follow catafalque party and march to the soldiers memorial from the esplanade, joined by surf life savers from Henley and Grange.
7:30am - Breakfast will be served for a gold coin donation, the bar, and rum and coffee station will open.
8:30am – Ben Ford-Davies will play inside the club
9:00am – Two Up game begins
6pm - Close
No parking in the RSL Carpark.
Seaview Road will be closed from Henley Square to Marlborough Street.
North Street will be closed from Military Road to Seaview Road.

Soldier On Community Walk
Henley & Grange RSL is proud to support the "March On" community initiative, run by the non-profit organisation Soldier On. Throughout the month of March, community members have taken on the challenge of walking the 96 km distance of the Kokoda Track, while raising funds along the way. Every dollar raised goes directly toward funding Soldier On's mental health programs and services, which aim to prevent veteran suicide and save lives.
We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the completion of this challenge and showing support for this important cause.

8:15 am – Pre-walk briefing and introduction of Soldier On CEO, Paul Singer CVO
9:00 am – Walk begins (Step Off)
A water station will be available halfway at Grange Jetty.

Free community sausage sizzle begins.
10:45 am – Finish with a group photo in front of Henley & Grange RSL.

Remembrance Day - Henley and Grange RSL
We invite you to join us for our Remembrance Day Service. This year the service will be held inside the clubrooms starting at 10.30am.
A shared light lunch will be available following the ceremony.

After lunch there will be a presentation from one of our members – Greg Stanford - who is a descendant of a Dam Buster. This will start at 11.45am, we highly recommend staying around for this!

Matt Newlands Bio
Matt is a highly experienced and passionate mental health advocate dedicated to helping individuals, executives, and organisations improve their mental health.
Drawing on his ten years of frontline experience as a former police officer, Matt provides counselling and mental health training to those in high-stress roles seeking high-performance outcomes. He also has experience navigating post-traumatic stress and depression following his service, which he uses to support and educate others.
Matt is a Level 2 registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association, a national Community Ambassador for RUOK?, and sits on the state's first Suicide Prevention Council as the First Responders representative.

Footy Tipping Official Count
Our Footy Tipping Competitions Grand Finale will be held on Saturday 31st August commencing at 12.00 noon.
There is no AFL games scheduled that weekend because it’s the bye before the finals. Standard happy hour bar prices will be in operation up until 4.00pm.
Our footy themed menu will offer Tony Brown’s famous Footy Pie Floater at a ridiculous cost of $10.00. For those people not keen on a pie floater we have Monica O’Halloran’s equally famous Quiche Lorraine at an equally ridiculous price of $10.00.
For those people who do not like either, we have George Hosking’s not so famous Footy Pie with sauce at the giveaway price of $5.00.
Meal tickets are available from the bar, for catering purposes all meal orders must be purchased by Friday the 30th August.
Presentation to the winner of the Last Person Standing competition will be made at 12.45pm.
Presentation for the Mystery Tipping Competition will commence at 1.30pm. A great day is assured, so get your meal tickets early. Everyone is welcome, and encouraged to come, even if you didn’t enter the competitions.

Point & Shoot – Australian Veteran Photography Exhibition
We are excited to announce that Mark Direen from Point Assist will be hosting a photography exhibition in the Henley and Grange RSL.
Showcasing career imagery and accompanying stories from Australian veterans, this exhibition provides a rare glimpse into the life and experiences of fellow Australians who have served their country.
The purpose of the Point & Shoot exhibition is not to display perfectly captured photos from professional photographers. But rather, to share some of those moments frozen in time that those who serve our nation thought were worth remembering across a range of peace and wartime operations.
The exhibition will comprise around 60 images.


100 Year Anniversary of the Henley and Grange RSL
Come down to the Henley and Grange RSL on the 11th of May to celebrate their 100th anniversary.
The official opening is at 2pm and is open to the public.
There will be a face painter and food stalls, as well as an Army rock band and Navy band performing from 3pm.
At 6:30pm, dance band 'No Matter What' will be playing inside the club to close the
